- We do carryout
financial analysis of performance to understand the
present status of health of an organization. This is
required for strategy formulation. However, we do
not offer any financial advice or financial
services, to avoid conflict of interests.
- If the
financial information given to us is wrong or
doctored, our recommendations based on such
information will also be not correct. We are not
liable, in any manner, for such errors. We will
assume that whatever financial information is
provided to us by the client is true, factual and
correct.
- Some clients
require financial services as part of the overall
package. In such cases, we enter into partnerships
with financial services firms or individuals to
offer such services, either under our own or the
financial services firm's umbrella depending on the
relationships enjoyed with clients. We ensure that
there is no conflict of interests in such cases and
there is total independence of entities concerned.
- We also have

- To become one
of the most respected provider of integrated
management consultancy services based on integrity,
principles, values and ethics in any part of the
world.
- To delight the
clients by providing the right advice, the right
information and at the right time
- Recognize and
respect the fundamental rights of people to have
their own views and opinions
- Do not act like
a Mercenary, Messiah or Dependency Builder in the
words of Mr. Ron Carucci and Ms. Toby Tatenbaum in
their book "Value Creating Consultant"
published by AMACOM, New York, USA.
- Create
something of value. Money is the by-product of your
efforts, sincerity and hard work. If you look only
for money, then be prepared to fail
- Fairness,
Honesty, Sincerity, Openness and Transparency in all
business and personal dealings
- Never
compromise on Integrity, Principles, Values
and Ethics
|
|
Business
Philosophy & Policies |
- Help clients
create a business process to manage and thrive on
change
- Look at all
problems holistically, always with an open mind and
suggest probable solutions. Remember Aristotle's
famous saying: "Probable impossibilities are
to be preferred to improbable possibilities"
- Develop
systematic team work and at the same time retain
your independent outsider identity
- Do not get
dragged into politics, controversies or
bickering at client's end. Do not fish in troubled
waters
- Assist
developing long term solutions
- Focus on people
by supporting and developing them
- Strive for
excellence through speed, innovation, leadership and
team work
- Build
relationships based on mutual respect and trust
- Look for
win/win situations for all stakeholders
- The client is
always in a more powerful position to decide in your
favor or not. Negotiation is always possible,
between unequal parties, in terms of size, as long
as the need exists and you can satisfy the need.
- Provide the
best customer value proposition at all times
- Add and create
value to a client's business
- You cannot
satisfy everybody. When you try to satisfy
everybody, you end up satisfying nobody
- Never take up
an assignment without a specific terms of reference
(ToR) or a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)
- It is good to
be diplomatic in our profession. However, do not
take an ambiguous or vague stand under the guise of
diplomacy
- Draw a code of
conduct. Do not cross the line of decency and do not
allow anyone to cross the
line.
-
Integrity
and Commitment are more important than money
-
A
management consultant is not a 'rubber stamp' or a
'yes man' or a 'dummy' to endorse the actions
or decisions of a client. A management consultant is
not a magician to make problems disappear overnight.
Make it very clear in the beginning itself. It will
save you a lot of grief and misunderstandings later
-
Keep
the ethical and operating standards very high all
the time and beyond reproach. To be viewed as
one of the best people to deal with in the world in
our areas of competence

Who
and What is a Management Consultant ?
|
| The
Institute of Management Consultants, UK defines a
management consultant as follows:
A Management
Consultant is an independent, experienced and qualified
person who provides a professional service to a
business, government and any other undertaking by:
- Identifying and
investigating problems concerned with strategy,
policy, markets, organization, procedures and
methods;
- Formulating
recommendations for appropriate action by actual
investigation and analysis, with due regard for
broader management and business implications;
- Discussing and
agreeing with the client, the most appropriate
course of action;
- Providing
assistance, where required by the client, to
implement the recommendations;
Management Consulting
has three approaches: 1. Expertise Consulting 2.
Business Process Consulting and 3. Contingency
Consulting. We adopt any or all approaches, depending
upon the circumstances and relationship with the client. |

The
cost of price - The price of value |
"There is
hardly anything in the world that some man cannot make a
little worse and sell a little cheaper. People who
consider price only are this man's lawful prey. It is
unwise to pay too much, but it is unwise to pay too
little. When you pay too much, you lose a little money,
that is all. When you pay too little, you sometimes lose
everything, because the thing you bought is incapable of
doing the thing you bought it to do. The common law of
business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a
lot. It can't be done. If you deal with the lowest
bidder, it's well you add something for the risk you
run. And if you do that, you will have enough to pay for
something better." - John Ruskin - British Author
& Writer |

Why
MMG ?
|
| We would
like to quote the great Mr. Robert Townsend from the book
"Further up the organization" on his observation
on "Management Consultants" and the same is
reproduced in italics below:
"The
effective ones are the one-man shows. The institutional
ones are disastrous. They waste time, cost money,
demoralize and distract your best people and don't solve
any problems. They are the people who borrow your watch to
tell you what time it is and walk away with it ...........
" --- Published by Michael Joseph, London, UK, 1984,
Page Number 128
It would be impolite
of us to publish the entire extract in our pages but those
interested can refer to the book.
